BAGUIO: VIZCOS'S

Along the famous Session road, among the bar and restos, there's this place famous for their cakes called Vizco's. Their bestseller is the (surprise! surprise!) Strawberry Shortcake. They also serve, pizza, pasta, salad, and all that italian food. I know you could all get that food in Manila, but the difference is that the ingredients are fresher and the price is cheaper. So I think this place is a must go when you visit Baguio. And hey, you don't have to travel that far because this place is just walking distance from SM Baguio.

Cakes per slice cost around 60-95php.

BAGUIO: CHOCO-LATE DE BATIROL

Our first stop on our Baguio Resto hopping is the Choco-Late de Batirol. Located in Camp John Hay, near CJH's gate 2 and thr Baguio Country Club.

Choco-Late de Batirol serves breakfast and lunch.

Going there is a bit tricky when you'll take a jeep. The terminal is located in front of the Venice Hotel, side of the Burnham Park. The jeep will drop you off Gate 1 of the Camp John Hay and I swear it's a very long walk from there to the Choco-Late de Batirol. I suggest you take a cab and tell him to drop you off on Gate 2 near the Baguio Country Club. It opens around 9 in the morning.

Their drinks costs from 80 to 145, hot or cold. I think it's a bit expensive for a cup of chocolate, but the place is not your ordinary restaurant, and very far from the pollution of the city.

I had a cup of the hot choco-late de batirol which costs 80php and longsilog (ilocano longanisa-sinangag-itlog) which costs 160php.

I'm not sure if I'll come back, the food is expensive for a longsilog, 160php? Really? I'm kuripot like that!
Well, come to think of it, the place is located near the Baguio country club, the golf course is just ten steps away, that explains the higher than usual price range.

The chocolate drink is very frothy, ate faye even coughed a little, it's very strong, like eating the very cacao tablet.

oh I forgot to mention, this suman is to die for!

and hey they even sell other pasalubong stuff toO.

LOLA AND THE BOY NEXT DOOR BOOK REVIEW

I've made the mistake of not doing background investigation about this book and about the author and about the author's other books before reading Lola and the Boy Next Door by  Stephanie Perkins.

What I've learned is that I should have read Perkin's previous book, Anna and the French Kiss, but WHATEVER!

I have finished reading and I loved it!

This book is very much similar to Adorkable.

DELIRIUM BOOK REVIEW

Arg, I can't help compare books  I'm currently reading from the books I've already read. Like this one, Delirium by Lauren Oliver, I can't help but notice that it has similarities from the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins.

But let me tell you first what this book is all about, Post apocalyptic time, people are scared of love, they treat love as a disease, which kills, mentally kills people then when they are infected, their actions change and the result of love is what the government is concerned about. They don't see love as a good thing, and children from a very young age despises love, they should not show any care to anything or to anyone, Everyone is being

THE DUFF BOOK REVIEW

THE DUFF: THE DESIGNATED UGLY FAT FRIEND by KODY KEPLINGER

The moment I laid eyes on the first chapter, I knew I would LOVE this book! This one sounded very much like Sarra Manning's Adorkable and God knows how much I love that book.

Okay, let me tell you what the book is about, Bianca feels normal the minute before Wesley Rush talked to her, but when he opened his big mouth and told her that she was the Duff of her little group of friends, Bianca's life changed,

FOREVER BOOK REVIEW

Girl (Katherine) meets boy (Michael), girl falls hard on the boy. Boy says she loves the girl, I mean really loves that girl. And girl is very much attached to the boy, and wants no one else. Parents of girl put the boy and girl's relationship to a test and spends the summer apart.

“Like my mother said, you can't go back to holding hands” - Katherine, Forever

My thought on Judy Blume's Forever.

I've done some research on this book (THANKS WIKIPEDIA) after I've read some of the reviews on goodreads. The novel was written 37 years ago (written 1975), and during that time, it was in the middle of controversy

THE TRUTH ABOUT FAKING BOOK REVIEW

The Truth About Faking is Leigh Talbert Moore's first book to ever write, and my first book of hers to read.

Looking at the cover, very cheesy, the title, the title did not really attract me to read it.

Before I've read this book,

EASY BOOK REVIEW

It's been 2 days after I've read Tammara Webber's Easy, and I'm on the verge of forgetting what I've read. Well, that's saying something.

Okay the plot, the very common, girl was brokenhearted, her name is Jacqueline aka Jackie (no more), dumped by her long time boyfriend, then she meets this mysterious guy from Econ class Lucas. Falls for him, while Lucas keeps on resisting her because she's not good for her/not good for him (I know, sounds like The Twilight saga).

The story was okay, plain, the characters are also okay, the problem is that the book is too long for the story, the story is predictable,

UNSTICKY BOOK REVIEW

Unsticky is written by now one of my official favorite author, Sarra Manning

Grace Reeves' world revolves around money. She loves money and everything she could buy with it. But the only problem is, she hasn't got ENOUGH for her wants.

Vaughn is this very rich, older man, who Grace thought could solve her problems. Maybe he is the answer to solve her problems, her financial problems.

My first thought about this book is that, Confessions of a Shopaholic meets Fifty Shades of Grey (not the gross part of fifty shades). But this book is 100 percent better that the said books,

REASON TO BREATHE BOOK REVIEW

Reason to Breathe is my first novel of Rebecca Donovan. At first, I was a hesitant to read this book because I've seen the plot on goodreads, and I have already guessed there's violence involved and this is my first time reading such book.

Emma keeps everything to herself, even her best friend doesn't really know what going on inside Emma's house. Then she met Evan, he seemed very much interested in

IF YOUR HEART'S NOT IN IT

Song Title: IF YOUR HEART'S NOT IN IT*
Artist: WESTLIFE*

I have been a fan of westlife since I was about 10 years old. Their Irish charm and soothing voices make me squirm every time I hear one of their songs, and this song is not an exception. I know it's a sad song, (based on the title), but from the moment you hear the first piano note, you'll just fall in love with their voices. and FYI, I still like Mark Feehily even though he's gay. I know I have hots for gay men. (In almost all the boybands, I drool to their gay member, how weird it THAT!)

Perks of Being a PUPIAN

Let's do this list Cammie Morgan Style.

First things first, I'm an alumna of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines aka PUP aka Pinakamurang Unibersidad Puriber (I totally made that up). I think spending 5 years of my life in that University qualifies me in doing this list based on my first hand experience.

PRO: THE OBVIOUS: 12php per unit.

I've heard (seen in the web) that it has been 12 pesos per unit since the 70s. And whenever there is a threat or even a rumor that there will be a tuition fee increase, expect a riot in a form of a rally from the students and some of the faculty members.During my stay, there has been 2 attempts of increase in tuition fee, but to the government's dismay, the students will just say, NO WAY JOSE!

CON: CULTURE SHOCK: rallies

Going back to my freshman year, I remember the shock in each and every one of my classmates' face witnessing the famous PUP Rally, then I looked at our professor, she seemed irritated because the class was being disturbed by the yells of the

TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE BOOK REVIEW

I know the name Mitch Albom sounds very familiar when my officemate lend me her book Tuesdays With Morrie last week. My friends in college talked about him and his books when we where in college, but I haven't paid much attention him then. Until now.

Tuesday With Morrie is a book about a dying man, sharing life's lessons to a very much alive student.

“Devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.” ― Mitch AlbomTuesdays with Morrie

Reading this book is like being

Ceelin Plus Steps

She Will Always Be My Baby

Having a child is both a blessing and an adventure. From the moment she opens her eyes to her precious firsts up to when she grows big and strong. Every milestone, every experience, is a memory we would want to keep forever.

It began with an ultrasound. It’s the first tangible memory you can keep and treasure for as long as you can. And then, on THE day, your husband brought the camera. You weren’t at your best but nobody cared. And that was your first family portrait.

From there, everything was just automatic. You’d put your camera or smartphones on standby while you wait for those magical firsts, and not letting sickness get in the way of enjoying these ‘firsts’. The first time she held your fingers. The first time she whispered “mama” and “dada”. The first time she stood up and walk towards you. Then there are birthdays, summer vacations, holidays. Priceless, magical firsts. You make sure that she gets proper physical growth and development because she is healthy and sick-free. And this is a non-negotiable.

Every photo, video, and experience is a captured memory that not only highlights and immortalizes your child’s milestones, they also stand as proof on how well you take good care of her, protecting her from any harm or sickness resulting in normalized growth for her age.

INFINITEA ANONAS

I just can't get enough of milktea!

A week after going to and fro Quezon City, I've discovered INFINITEA. Yes, I've been passing by that store for a whole week without even noticing it. How weird is that?! And ever since, I've been having my daily dose of milktea.

Sunday: Okinawa Milktea
Monday: Strawberry Bliss Milktea
Tuesday: Dark Chocolate Milktea
Wednesday: Green Apple Tea with Yogurt
Thursday: (When all else fail) Wintermelon Milktea
Friday: Peach Lychee Milktea

..and I was suppose to have my Chocolate Milktea today Saturday), but the unthinkable happened! I don't want to go into details but, my Milktea was consumed by the streets of Angono. tsk, tsk, tsk...

The Milktea selections already have add-ons in it (nata de coco, pearl, pudding etc...) 70php to 90 php. Fruit teas dont have bits (add-ons) in it,it's cheaper that the Milktea selections, price range from 60php to 70php, you could upgrade your Fruit Tea and add yogurt (plus 10php) or yogurt slush (15php). I haven't tried the yogurt slush yet but the Apple Green Tea with yogurt is absolutely DELISH! I also haven't tried the Frappes yet, but I target to have them next week (yeah...), price ranges from 85php to 95php. They also serve hot teas.

CHATIME

Last Sunday, we watched the Perks of Being a Wallflower instead of going to our hang out place, Moonleaf Antipolo, but being the milktea lover that we are, we spent the afternoon after the Logan Lerman, Ezra Miller (Swooning while writing) and Emma Watson movie drinking milktea and in my case Chocolate Mousse.

This time we went to Chatime, I know many already knew this place, but still, it's new to me and that was the first time I ever set foot on that place. Chatime not only serve milkteas, but they also have Mousse, Fruit Tea, Juice, Oriental Pop Tea and even some cakes (which by the way is very cheap, cheap like 20php cheap) and sandwiches.

Chit had the Taro Milktea. It taste like ginataang bilo-bilo, Chit even said it tasted like Camote, it also had the consistency of the ginataang bilo-bilo. It was a first because, we were accustomed to having tea's consistency close to as of water.

Their price ranges from 90 to 110php.  They have a variety of teas which can be served hot or cold.

Chatime can be found on SM Megamall, Bldg. A, groudfloor near the Supermarket. A few walks away from the National Bookstore. A perfect place to read and drink milktea. Yay!

Cakes and Sandwiches

They have this disc shaped device which acts as your number for you to pick-up your order on the counter, the device vibrates when your order is ready to be picked-up

MOCHICREME

Japanese food had always been a big mystery for me. And just last Sunday, my good friend Chit, introduced me to this japanese ice cream store, Mochicreme

Let me enlighten you on what "mochi" means.

Mochi (餅) is a Japanese rice cake made of glutinous rice (not to be confused with gluten) pounded into paste and molded into the desired shape. (Thanks wikipedia!

Mochi Ice Cream is a ball of ice cream covered with mochi. That's it.

You need to wait for a few seconds because the mochi is hard as stone and you need for it to be soft for you to eat it.

Mochicreme is located in SM Megamall, in front of the SM Cinema Cinema 7 to 12.

Their best seller is the Azuki Red Bean which costs 65php. I had the Blue Vanilla, and well, it's a little bland for my taste, but the mochi part is just so good to my tongue, it's like a hard version of jellyace. Price ranges from 60php to 65php.
